Discussion Post: Critiquing the Findings Section of a Research Report
Select a research article from a social work journal. Critique the Discussion or Recommendations Section by addressing the following:
A. Identify the recommendations in the discussion section as follows:
a. Identify each recommendation.
b. Identify the specific finding, if any, that supports each recommendation.
c. In your opinion, decide if each recommendation is adequately supported by a specific finding. If it is not, why not.
B. Are the limitations of the study discussed? What are these limitations?
C. What recommendations were useful to you as a social worker?
