For studying anatomy, build a decision tree (sometimes referred to as a flowchart) that would help an unidentified muscle fiber to be categorized as either fast or slow twitch. In other words, if you were given an unidentified muscle fiber, what questions would you ask yourself to identify it as fast twitch or slow twitch?
The produced a decision tree that could be used to distinguish between the two types of muscle fiber. You can use morphological or functional characteristics to narrow down identification; however, the features used should be stated.
Each junction/decision point on your tree must have a clear question (for example, does this muscle fiber contain a large number of mitochondria?).
