Homework: Interview Transcript Analysis
Locate an interview transcript or other data set, such as a blog or a personal story on a website, of about 1,500 to 3,500 words in length that is related to one of your previous homeworks. Develop a research question you can answer through your transcript or data set analysis.
Analyze the transcript or data set.
Identify a list of themes and sub-themes.
Write a 1,750 to 2,100 words report on your analysis, being sure to include the following criteria in your report:
o Identify the research questions you used to guide your analysis process.
o Outline the steps you followed to analyze the interview transcript.
o Report the results of the analysis.
o How did the questions the interviewers asked influence the nature of the responses?
o What additional questions might you ask if you were the interviewer?
o Analyze your objectivity. Where did your subjectivity enter into your data analysis?
o What assumptions did you bring to the analysis about representation and objectivity?
Format your homework according to the following formatting requirements:
o The answer should be typed, using Times New Roman font (size 12), double spaced, with one-inch margins on all sides.
o The response also includes a cover page containing the title of the homework, the student's name, the course title, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.
o Also include a reference page. The Citations and references must follow APA format. The reference page is not included in the required page length.
