• Identify two groups to which you have belonged at some point in your life:
o a group in which you valued the group's success over your own and
o a group in which you valued your own individual success over the group's.
• What psychological or situational factors may have led you to put emphasis on the different outcomes? In each case, do you think you chose the right course of action? Why, or why not?
