What provisions of the acl may apply

Assignment task:

New Age Robots Pty Ltd has developed a new Robot that can be used to replace books in their proper location, including on very high shelves using an extendable arm.

The State Library of NSW purchased two Robots for $10,000 each.

New Age Robots stated that the technology and software was developed solely by them. In fact another company "A I Bend and Extend Pty Ltd" had invented the software applying to the extendable arm and had not been paid or consulted by New Age Robots.

The State Library which does not wish to damage its reputation with the public and wishes to know whether they have an argument under the Australian Consumer Law to void the contract with New Age Robots.

1. What Provisions of the ACL may apply?

2. Are there any cases that may assist your arguments?

3. If New Age Robots had permission and had paid for use of the technology but the pressure from the extendable arm destroyed an extremely valuable historical book. What provisions of the ACL could the state Library rely on?

Note: answer the questions based on Australian Law.
