I. Discuss the relevance of store location in an Internet economy. Is location still important to a retail store's success? Why or why not?
II. Think about several different types of retail stores you have visited in the past and reveiw photos online of the exterior and interior of those stores. Before beginning the project think about what types of stores you enjoyed visiting and what types of stores you did not like. Now think about the last time you visited a store, how has that changed since COVID-19 safety measures have been put in place, has this impacted your shopping experience or desire to be in a store? With COVID-19 safety measures lessening, think about how shoppers will feel in retail spaces.
A. What is the general concept of your store?
B. Who is your customer base?
C. What product or service are you providing?
D. Create a logo design and answer: Why did you select the colors/fonts, what are they telling the customer?
E. What is the location and why?
F. What does it look like (shape of the room, lighting etc)?
G. What building materials are used (paint/ wood/ fabrics/ fixtures) and why?
H. How does COVID-19 impact your store, what design modifications would need to be made to ensure a safe and enjoyable customer experience?
