Discussion Post: Critical Thinking
A. Find an online article (news, magazine, journal, etc.) of interest that uses statistics to make its conclusion.
B. Share a link in this thread, and answer these questions about that article:
a. What is the premise and conclusion of the argument based on statistics?
b. Determine whether or not the argument uses any deceptive statistics.
c. Give your opinion on whether the argument has persuaded you. Explain why or not.
d. Determine the primary ways in which statistics or authority are used in your current position in developing persuasive arguments and provide examples here.
The response should include a reference list. One-inch margins, Using Times New Roman 12 pnt font, double-space and APA style of writing and citations.
