Two very common names we hear when discussing life on the Early Tennessee frontier, which included parts of North Carolina and Kentucky, are Davy Crockett and Daniel Boone. What was life really like for these early frontiersmen and women? What would travel had been like in looking at the maps? What do the pictures we see of Davy Crockett and Daniel Boone say about frontier life? Do those portraits of these two men tell the whole story?
