1. Some people feel that choreography should be able to stand on its own and does not necessarily need lighting, costumes and set/scenery design in order to be effective. Do you think that lighting design is important to a dance? Why or Why not?
2. What personal characteristics do you think are necessary for an artistic director to have? Why?
3. Discuss which dance production "job" best describes you?
4. If you were to create a dance production what are the most important elements to have and why?
5. Dance for camera/ dance films are becoming a large part of the dance community. Research some films (can search through the digital library) and discuss a film that interests you and why?
