Discussion Post
a) Define and explain what personal jurisdiction and subject matter jurisdiction mean and provide an example of each.
b) Explain what stare decisis is and what is meant by a "long arm statute."
c) Research and select one United States Supreme Court case decided in the past year that relates to and effects the ability to do business in the United States today. Provide the facts of the case, the law, the outcome and your thoughts on whether you agreed or disagreed with the Court's opinion. Do not write on a social issue unless you can relate it to the focus of the discussion - business, doing business and effecting business decisions today.
The response should include a reference list. Double-space, using Times New Roman 12 pnt font, one-inch margins, and APA style of writing and citations.
