What patient behaviors promote resistance

Question: Tuberculosis is a serious health concern worldwide.  While it was looking "beatable" in the 1980s, it has been surging back since the 1990s, due in large part to the HIV epidemic (coinfections are common) and to drug resistant strains.

TB is particularly likely to evolve drug resistance, not necessarily because of its own virulent "superpowers," but because of human behavior and the drugs we have available to treat it.  What patient behaviors promote resistance, and why are they particularly common with TB? Explain using the principle of natural selection.
