In this discussion, you will use the "Four A's" text-based protocol to explore a text and deeply consider your own values and intentions.
Select one of the chapters from Queer (In)justice: The Criminalization of LGBT People in the United States and answer the following questions:
a) What Assumptions does the author of the text hold?
b) What do you Agree with in the text?
c) What do you want to Argue with in the text?
d) What parts of the text do you want to Aspire to (or Act upon)?
Be sure to cite the text with page numbers, if appropriate, as evidence.
Think about and answer the following questions:
a) What does this mean for understanding practice in multicultural contexts in the human services profession?
b) What does this mean for promoting DEI services to the LGBTQ population?
