What part of the human experience do you take for granted

Problem

I. In the story, the Woken in the Experiment believe that they get to choose their fate: either to die or to reconnect with the rest of the Woken. Can we really control our fate? Describe a time when you thought you had complete control over a choice you were making, but things didn't go as planned.

II. In the story, the Woken were already waiting for humankind to destroy itself due to the poor choices humans were making. What should the future look like? Was there any truth to the Woken's observations of humankind? Is there anything we can do to prevent a similar outcome to the one in the story from happening?

III. In the story, some of the Woken participate in an experiment to understand the human experience. Why should we value experience? What part of the human experience do you take for granted?

IV. How do the Woken describe the human experience? What did we learn - both good and bad - about humanity from the Woken's experience in artificial bodies?
