Periodic revolutions broke out in Europe throughout the nineteenth century prior to the start of the Great War of 1914-1919. Using Chapters 12-20 of A History of Modern Europe: From the French Revolution to the Present answer the following question: which, if any, of the European revolutions in the nineteenth century can historians consider a "success," and what outcomes, goals, perspectives of contemporaries of that period indicate the success or failure of this revolution?
