Problem
Some may feel that judges are throwing people in jail. Are judges doing this or are the inmates being held accountable for their actions; therefore, did they put themselves there? Depending on the offense, there are various sentencing options. Based on my experience, for lower-level offenses, it could be community service, house arrest, GPS monitoring, court-ordered treatment programs, etc. What other sentencing options do you think should be implemented and should it be for all offenses or just some?
