As we know, the American political system is dominated by two political parties, the Republican Party and the Democratic Party. Recently, some American voters have questions why that is the case? Frustrated by having only two realistic choices for almost every race for public office, the question has been asked why we do not have more than just two viable choices?

This is a question that is perplexing to many, but with some effort, this question can be answered relatively easy. With that in mind, the question posed to you for your initial post for this module is as follows:

1.) What Obstacles Are Present That Prevent Third Party Candidates From Becoming More Competitive In Elections?

There are numerous interest groups active in the United States today, supporting and advocating for a plethora of different causes and changes to governmental policy. Some interest groups have some rather noble intentions, while there are others whose intentions are relatively malicious in nature. (And, malicious in the eyes of a vast majority of Americans).

That being said, the question posed to you for your initial post is quite straight forward. It will require you to do a little outside research. Performing a Google search of a particular interest group will likely send you to the official website of the group in question.
