What needed to be done even if it damn near impossible to do

Problem

When I think back on great world leaders in History a few men come to mind. First of all I would think Sir Winston Churchill is one of the finest leaders in modern history. During World War Two with England on the brink of defeat his words of encouragement to his nation helped the civilian populace survive the battle of England. Even when times were bleak for him, he did not falter and stood strong giving hope to his war torn country.

Another great world leader to come to mind would be Pope John Paul II. As the leader of the Catholic Church from 1978 to 2005 the Pope John Paul II worked to improve relations with other religions world wide and even was instrumental in healing relations between the Catholic Church and the Jewish religion. (Zeno, 2019)

Both of these men were elected to be leaders of their respective groups. Both men during their times showed what it meant to be compassionate and yet head strong and falter to see what needed to be done even if it was damn near impossible to do. They earned the respect of their peers and followers with honesty and compassion for total strangers.

Great business leaders of the past 20 years I would like to think of being someone like Elon Musk who is very charismatic and intelligent while also having a vision and driving to that goal. Is he similar to someone like the Pope or Sir Churchill? I think so in the modern world of technology and social media. in the past if a CEO made a blunder no one really noticed or paid much attention to it. Where as now you have to be careful where you walk and what lines you cross much like a world leader. One foul step and your company could end up being black listed or boycotted.
