Progressive thinkers have proposed numerous ways that humans could reorder their social organization and economic circumstances to make life better.
Nineteenth Century Americans tried a number of Utopian communities.
• Write a post describing one aspect of a Utopian community that seems useful. What nagging social problem could be addressed? Also, describe a negative aspect of the utopia. (Could be too much control or others concerns)
Some of this material is pretty wacky. Humor or sarcasm is appropriate.
• Respond to another student's post. Add information about the specific community-pro or con. (Wiki OK here) You can analyze what you think the information means but don't give opinion alone.
The response must include a reference list. Using one-inch margins, double-space, Times New Roman 12 pnt font and APA style of writing and citations.
