What motivates a learning team

Assignment:

Describe a learning team and what motivates a learning team. When competition is motivation, how can it hurt a team and how can the team deal with negative effects of competition?

Hidden agendas are when your motives are self-centered and while you appear to be working for the good of your team, your motive is for self-promotion and personal gain (Llopis, 2011). How do hidden agendas affect a team?

Below are resources I found that have information about learning teams. I want to ensure that I understand the concept of learning teams and how competition can hurt a team and what teams can do to deal with the negative effects of competition.

The assignment is that I am on a learning team and I need to know how to successfully work with my team. Currently competition seems to be a huge "issue" between team members. I want to explain how it can hurt our team and make suggestions on how to handle it.
