Pick 2 in depth segments from The PBS Newshour (they range from 10-20 minutes each) that are relevant to our class, and ideally, might be useful for you as begin to think of our final exam which is based on problem solving.
So, watch ( PBS) The News Hour on cable, at PBS.org, or broadcast TV, Mon-Fri at 7pm, or Saturday and Sunday at 5 to 530 pm, from any day from of the previous week or so.

1) Briefly discuss the quality/ value of each segment you saw, and how it compares with your regular or other sources of news?
2) Give IN YOUR OWN WORDS, a brief synopsis of each segment, and say what you learned that is new and relevant to the problems we face.
3) What more would you like to know about each issue discussed?
4) What, if anything, does it remind you of from the 19th and early 20th century history we have studied, and can you apply anything from that history that might help us manage the potential problems.
