Problem
The influential leader I chose is the CEO and President of Northrop Grumman, Kathy Warden. Not only is she the first CEO of Northrop Grumman, but she has provided the guidance to her sector presidents to take the company far into the future. Transformational leaders influence people by encouraging and supporting them, and by inspiring them to go above and beyond the dictates of the job. This approach to influence is rooted in emotion, empathy, and empowerment (Laker, 2021). Rather than coming across as brash or, for lack of a better term, mean, very successful leaders can get their points across by using the transformational influence. This is what makes Mrs. Warden incredibly successful in her role as CEO. This would also be the trait I feel I share with her. I have always envisioned myself as a chameleon type of leader. Adapting to the environment that I am in. I can use transformational leadership to get my point across to those in my charge as well.
