Assignment: Business Law Project
• You may still submit a presentation using PowerPoint slides as a group, if you feel you have done enough work and can work together remotely, or otherwise. If you choose to submit your assignment as a group, please include all group member names - and, ensure that your slides/presentation addresses the questions below and that I am able to understand the issue without the need for narration or explanation, as would be provided during an actual presentation;
• You may instead complete a "Report on a Current Business Legal Issue" that addresses the same questions posed below. This report should be no more than two pages if text/narrative format - or, you may submit PowerPoint slides as well. Please use whatever format works best for you.
Task
Keep in mind that the goal here is to present a current event or topic that touches the legal world. It will be important to summarize the event and be able to answer most of the following questions:
1. What happened?
2. Who are the people/parties involved?
3. Why is this event important?
When identifying the legal issues, detail into the very specific legal elements is not necessary. It is enough to summarize the larger legal concepts and discuss how the issue resolved or how it may resolve if it is not yet resolved. Consider the following questions; not all of the questions will be relevant, depending on your topic.
1. Why type of lawsuit might occur?
2. What legal claims may the parties have?
3. Where in the trial process is this event (discovery, trial, settlement, appeal)?
4. What was the outcome? Who won?
5. What do you think the outcome will be? Who do you think will win?
6. What are the positives and negatives of a case/topic like this?
7. What impact will it have on future cases?
Format your homework according to the following formatting requirements:
(1) The answer should be typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides.
(2) The response also includes a cover page containing the title of the homework, the student's name, the course title, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.
(3) Also include a reference page. The Citations and references should follow APA format. The reference page is not included in the required page length.
