Discussion Post: Sociology
• What are the central variables of each of the three major sociological paradigms/theories? Be sure to note if the paradigm is a macro-level or micro-level theory.
• Identify two thinkers or theorists for each of the three paradigms.
• How does your text define culture? Make a list of the ways in which the media - including advertisements - reach you each day. How many of these media messages represent mainstream Western ideals? What kinds of media messages do not conform to these norms?
The response must include a reference list. Using Times New Roman 12 pnt font, double-space, one-inch margins, and APA style of writing and citations.
