How does the author(s) define the "global" or "world" as a unit of analysis in their work? what are the primary arguments of the research paper? What secondary and primary source materials do they use to build their argument? Was archival and/or fieldwork conducted as part of the research process? What archives were visited? What kinds of fieldwork practices were pursued? What secoudary and primary materials can be used to strengthen the paper? What did you like most about the journal article? What new questions would you ask for future research?
