Begin by choosing one of the peer-reviewed journal articles listed below. As you read, highlight the questions the author is trying to answer. Then highlight the answers the author found to those questions.

Why does the author think his or her answers/conclusions are correct?
In the second paragraph start by assuming that the author's answers/conclusions are in fact correct. Why are the author's ideas important? What are the implications? What does this mean for related issues or what else might be true?
For clarification, the objective here is to find the implications of the study. We sometimes refer to implications as the "so what?" question. What does all of this mean in the bigger picture?
