Problem
Many people have argued both sides of the issue. Do torts provide more harm than good? A simple Internet search will prove the variability in opinions on the issue of tort law. On the other side of the issue are those who argue that the civil system is part of Americans' fundamental rights and helps to protect and compensate numerous Americans.
After viewing researching tort law, respond to the following questions:
a) What is your assessment of the current civil law system?
b) Is reform necessary, or are critics overemphasizing those cases which appear on the surface to be frivolous?
c) If you had the power to change the tort system, what changes, if any, would you make? Why?
