You are expected to draw on a number of sources for information in your report such as textbooks, newspapers, magazine articles and academic journals. At least 3 academic journals should be used for your report. The CQU library database is a good starting point. Wikipedia is not an acceptable source of information for academic purpose.

2. List and explain the likely causes or factors that lead an employee that works in commercial organisations to whistle blow? Use two examples from your research to support your answer. These examples can be drawn from Australia or overseas.

3. What are the ethical dilemmas that normally face the whistle blowers? Use two examples from your research to support your answer. These examples can be drawn from Australia or overseas.

4. Outline the legislative responses to whistleblowing in Australia and the United States of America.

5. Do you think whistle blowing and the legislative responses in Australia and the United States of America can achieve the desired outcome on improving ethical business practices and protecting whistle blowers? Why or why not? Explain your response.

Format

You are required to answer these questions in the form of a report, in the following form:

• Title page - A study on whistleblowing; word count to be clearly indicated on title page

• Table of Contents

• Introduction

• Report body

• Conclusion

• Reference list.

The in text referencing style that is required for your report is the American Psychological Referencing (APA) style. The word limit for Assessment Item 2 is a maximum of 2000 words, excluding title page, table of contents and references.
