You work at a health insurance company. Your supervisor told you that he found a way in which the company would not have to pay for simple operations that they would have normally had to cover.
They would only have to check a box saying that the patient had a pre-existing condition. If the patient appealed it, then the company would pay, but the supervisor knew that most of the patients would just accept the first answer.
Even if a couple of people appealed, it would be worth it since they would save so much from the others who would accept just the initial answer. You truly believe that this is wrong and, perhaps, illegal.
