What is vertical organization and horizontal organization?
Highly encoded schemes that use compact codes to state only a small number of control functions in every microinstruction are referred to as vertical organization. On the other hand, the minimally encoded scheme in which many resources can be controlled with one microinstructions is known as a horizontal organization.
