Question 1. What is Valuation Allowance and how it is created? What evidences a company is required to show for creating or not creating Valuation Allowance. Also do some research on the internet to see how far the companies are complying with the disclosure requirements for Valuation Allowance. You can look into the notes to financial statements. Question 2. It is well recognized that females outnumber males in public teaching positions, primarily noticeable in secondary education. Many school districts have recruiting initiatives to increase the representation of males in teaching and may make gender based decisions to hire a male over a female who may be better qualified. They would support this practice in the name of diversity so students would have more exposure to male teachers that may be supported by the community at large. What is your opinion of this practice?
Question 3. Body art is an area that is recently receiving a lot of attention and I read an article regarding how employers need to consider and address the issue of employees with piercings and tattoos since this seems to be a more pervasive source of expression for many employees entering the workforce today. Should this be addressed in an employer's policy, since some customers/clients may find these sources of expression offensive and "off-putting" to them?
