You must provide 15 business questions based on the HR schema attached... You should begin identify some of the decision support questions that your company would like to address. Following are few sample reporting requirements.
• Human Resources Analysis
• How many programmers are African-Americans?
• What is their annual salary in comparison to that of those who are white?
• What is the average salary for female versus male workers?
• How to annual salaries compare with respect to years of experience or years employed by the company?
Having well defined requirements will help you in the modeling stage. These questions will be helpful when it comes to writing SQL reports. Generate a list of questions that your organization can retrieve from the data warehouse.
Your team assignment for this session is to develop a fictitious company and identify a list of business intelligence questions.
