Discussion Post: Analysis of Variance (ANOVA)- Statistics for Health Professions
For this discussion forum, refer to the Excel file Discussion 8-1 Data Set that contains information on the following:
In the healthcare profession, you will be presented with ANOVA tables using different forms of technology (i.e. SPSS, Minitab, Excel, SAS, etc.). An important part of the analysis is to take the results from the ANOVA and make the proper inferences from it.
• Identify the worksheet (tab) that matches the first letter of your LAST name (i.e., if your last name were "Fudd" you would use the data from the "F" tab). This will be the source data you will use to answer your remaining questions for this initial post.
• From your ANOVA table: What is the test statistic?
• From your ANOVA table: What is the p-value?
• Assuming a level of significance at 0.05, would you reject or fail to reject your null hypothesis? Explain how you came to this conclusion (i.e., either use the test-statistic/critical value or p-value to support your claim).
The response should include a reference list. One-inch margins, Using Times New Roman 12 pnt font, double-space and APA style of writing and citations.
