A. If you are interested in becoming an attorney, what is required? What educational requirements are required, what tests, must you take along the way to get to the point of being admitted to the bar. What are the bar exam pass rates? California State Bar has a web site that may help.
B. What is the state of cannabis legalization? Are there federal and state law conflicts and what are the solutions? What is being done legislatively?
C. What is happening with environmental law and regulations? What is the effect of the current administration actions on regulations affecting the environment? How is it different than prior administrations?
D. Immigration law, law reform, and enforcement. What is changing?
E. Are there any current issues of US Constitutional rights that are at issue and what are they?
F. There is a Supreme Court judicial appointment pending. What is the process to confirm the nominee? Why do we care about who is appointed? What are the thoughts on any pending nominees and why?
G. What Supreme Court cases are pending (or have recently been ruled upon) that interest you and how might they affect our lives?
H. What is meant by "tort reform" and what is being done about it?
I. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader-Ginsberg (popularly now sometimes referred to as "RBG" is a worthy and interesting legal scholar and historical figure. Why? What has she accomplished and what are some of the cases and legal principles she is associated with, including the case names?
