Two blocks, with masses of 1 kg and 2 kg, are initially held together in place as shown in the figure below (see associated PDF or MS Word document). The massless spring in between the two blocks has a spring constant of k = 150 N/m and is initially compressed by 10 cm. You can assume that both masses are initially at rest. When the blocks are released, the spring expands and pushes the two blocks apart. What is the speed (in m/s) of the 2 kg block? You may assume that the surface is horizontal and frictionless.
