Discussion Post: Screening for Disease
• Identify a screening test described on the hopkinsmedicine org website.
• Seek out information from trustworthy sources about the screening test. What is the sensitivity and specificity of the test? Who specifically is recommended to be screened (include the organization that sets the recommendation, i.e. the American Cancer Society)? Describe the characteristics of the screening test to see if it meets the criteria of a good screening test as outlined:
o Simple
o Rapid
o Inexpensive
o Safe
o Acceptable
The response should include a reference list. Double-space, using Times New Roman 12 pnt font, one-inch margins, and APA style of writing and citations.
