What is the role of the human services professional

Problem

The work that is done by Human Services Professionals allows us to practice, based upon the application of theory and through being respectfully creative when working with the individualized needs of individuals, families, groups, and communities. The goal of the work done by Human Services Professionals is to encourage our clients to work towards being self-sufficient so that they can independently address their own needs.

For the Module Written problem, choose two client populations of interest. Think of the difficulties and challenges that may be faced by both groups. In a two-page paper, using at least two sources, discuss the following: What are the specific difficulties and challenges faced by both groups? How are they similar? How do they differ?

What is the role of the Human Services Professional in assisting both client populations to become independent? Based on research, what skills are necessary to ensure that both client groups progressively reach a level of self-sufficiency? With the two groups that you have identified, how can the "road towards self-sufficiency" be similar and how can it be different, based on individual and experiential circumstances?
