What is the problem why does the problem exist who does

Paper: Defining a Problem in Your Community (Research Paper)

While analyzing your chosen pop song for your last paper, you might have come across various social issues within different communities. Often, these issues or problems exist for a number of reasons; thus, defining a problem within a community is more complex than it may seem on the surface. For this paper, I want you to define a specific problem within a specific community that you, your family, or your friends are part of, and create an argument that clearly states why this is a problem that needs to be addressed. You will be required to do the following:

Choose a topic to argue that is a specific problem that has not yet been solved.

Position yourself within the community you belong, where you believe there is a problem that needs to be addressed.

Provide a clear, concise, coherent argument that defines the problem and why attention should be brought to this problem. You do NOT need to solve this problem; for this paper, your argument must center onwhy it is a problem that needs to be addressed (by people within the community and perhaps people outside of the community who could make a difference, such as administrators or lawmakers).

Define the problemthroughout your paper by answering some of the following questions: what is the problem? Why does the problem exist?

Who does this problem affect? How does this problem affect this group? When did the problem start?

You must use at least three scholarly articles/books to help you define this problem and argue why there needs to be more awareness of this problem.

Audience Awareness: While your paper certainly can have something everyone should take away from it, there should be one group you aim to convince more than others, such as people within this community who may need to become aware of this problem, or people outside of this community who are completely unaware but should be aware.

Some topic examples that might work for this paper include: local debates about "College Town" in Fullerton, the parking problem on CSUF's campus, safety issues at your workplace, or issues involving gender or race within specific hobby communities (that you are part of or wish to join). While this problem must be something that also affects other people, you may NOTargue about topics that are too big, such as abortion, the drinking age, same-sex marriage, capital punishment, tobacco, global warming, religion, or gun laws. Please talk to me if you have any questions about this.
