What is the perspective of the whs professional

Assignment task: You may use real workplace data, or write your report from the perspective of the WHS professional for an imaginary Organisation.

For the summative assessment for this unit of competency you are required to:

A. Collect, analyse, record and store a set of health and safety information and data. The data must relate to a WHS task or initiative in your organisation, or a hypothetical organisation. What data did you collect, why, how? What challenges did you face in collecting this data? What assumptions have been made?

B. Provide advice and support on operation of a WHS information system (WHSIS) to at least three different system users, and action their identified training needs within scope of own role. You may assume you are the WHS Professional. Systems users may be workers, line managers, senior managers or admin staff. You may take poetic license in your advice and support, but whatever you write must be justifiable and relevant to the WHS system.

C. Use the WHSIS to generate at least one report to an external body within required timeframes. You must include this report in your final submission. The report may be manually collated using data generated from the WHSMS.

D. Contribute to identifying and implementing an improvement measure for a WHSIS based on analysis of information and data, and communicate measures to required personnel according to health and safety legislative and organisational requirements. What measures will you use to measure effectiveness?
