Read the case below:
While working with the family and after completing the genogram and ecomap you learn about some unmet needs in the family.
You learn that Charlie isn't really feeling impacted by the community violence, but is getting upset in school because he is having difficulty reading. He has always been a good reader, but this year has been challenging for him.
Both Charlie and his parents agree that an afterschool program that includes tutoring help would benefit Charlie.
You also learn that Barbara had back surgery last year, continues to have some pain, and has had multiple prescriptions for pain medication filled (at the family pharmacy). Both Barbara and Michael are getting concerned about her medication dependency.
Rachel recently changed schools and for the first time in her life is having trouble making friends. She is not sleeping well, and has lost some weight. She is interested in joining a group with other teen girls.
Imagine that you are working with this family in your own community. Please identify two community programs or resources that could benefit Charlie, Barbara, and/or Rachel (find one for two different family members).
