What is the maximum resolution that can be supported

Problem

Suppose a 68000 is to be used to process digital images (e.g., in a laser printer). An image is made up of an array of n-by-tz pixels. Each pixel may have one of 16 gray levels (from all white to all black). If picture measures 8 inches by 8 inches, what is the maximum resolution that can be supported by a 68000 (in terms of pixels per inch)? Assume that 4 Mbytes of the 68000's address space are required for the operating system and all other software and cannot be used to store image data.

The response should include a reference list. Double-space, using Times New Roman 12 pnt font, one-inch margins, and APA style of writing and citations.
