What is the initial volumetric flow rate of water

A garden hose is open at one end and capped closed at the other. A swimmer in an above-ground pool fills the hose with pool water, then throws the capped end out of the pool. The open end of the hose sits at the bottom of the pool, and the capped end sits on the ground outside the pool and level to the bottom of it. The external pressure is 1 atm. The water in the pool is 2.5 feet deep, and the rim of the pool is 3.5 feet above the ground. The pressure at the capped end of the hose is 1.07 atm. Suppose the cap is removed.

a) What is the initial velocity of the water draining out of the hose in ft/s?

b) What is the initial volumetric flow rate of water out of the hose, in gpm (gallons per minute)? You can assume that the inside diameter of the hose is 5/8 inch.
