What is the dilemma and how would you handle

You are a drug and alcohol counselor and met with a client 30 days ago to do an assessment. They were homeless and seeking 90-day treatment for daily alcohol and opiate use. During the assessment, you let them know that state funding only covered those who reported intravenous use. The client then self-reported intravenous use. You questioned their honesty, but they were in serious need of immediate treatment so you reported intravenous use in the assessment. It has been 30 days since they entered treatment and you find out through a third party (another client) that your client being discussed did indeed lie. You confront the client and they admit to the lie and beg you not to report it because they are making great strides in treatment.
