Begin your critical analysis essay on Creating Effective Education for 2050. Write the Introduction and the Core for this essay following the outline of the Master Plan you were taught in class.
Submit an essay that explains what kind of education could best prepare you for life in 2050. Of course, we can't know exactly what life will be like in 2050, but there are many ideas out there that address this. Think of the demands of a global economy, the potential effects of climate change, what technology will take over for us and what it will not take over for us. What skills and understanding do people like yourself, and perhaps your children, need to be successful in such times-to the best of our knowledge? What should we keep from traditional education and what should change to better support students for the demands of the near future? Base your observations not on your own opinions but instead on research sources you have found.
Address some of the following concerns as they relate to your central thesis:
• What are ways a traditional education works well and does not work well? Why and why not?
• What is the difference between information and inspiration in education?
• What are ways the traditional educational system needs to change? Why?
• What is the difference between training and deep learning?
• What are the best ways to learn in your world today?
• What are the training/learning demands you are likely to face in the next 10 years?
• What level of responsibility and commitment do you, as a student, need to make now to prepare for the learning cycles to come?
