What is the difference between proactive and reactive?

Assignment:

A Proactive leader tends to be much more focused on achieving his or her business results through tapping into the power of their team. Whereas, the Reactive Leaders is concentrated on finding and fixing issues by him or herself.

There is certainly a time and place for a Reactive Leadership style just as there's a time and place for a Proactive Leadership style. If the plane is near to crash, the last thing any of us would want the captain to try and do, is to collect his/her team around him/her and question them what they think we should do in this situation!

However, be cautious of being so comfortable with the Reactive style of leadership that you just get fixed in saving the plane every day. That you don't flex your style of leadership to the situational demands.

What is the difference between proactive and reactive?

Some of the foremost well-known examples of the difference between a proactive and reactive approach come from the globe of skilled sports. Baseball groups who spend a lot of time and energy cultivating their internal development programs for players find yourself with minor league systems that are stocked with blue-chip prospects. Then, once those groups need a starting pitcher or a power hitter close to the trade deadline, they need assets that they have to trade to other groups who are looking to get ahead of the game by trading away a player who is probably going to demand a lot of money on the free agent market. Reactive teams try to take care of all of their issues through the free agent market, which implies they usually pay a lot of resources bringing in talent that has already developed a reputation than proactive groups do. To be proactive, one should have an awareness of future conditions so they'll can take advantage of promising situations within the future. While not this awareness, being proactive is tough in any situation.
