Yu have been introduced to a variety of personality theories. Thank you for working hard and engaging in these discussions. As we conclude the course, this week focuses on the humanistic perspective of personality, with special focus on Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs. Maslow's theory focuses on a unique perspective of personality and is based on motivation.
Take a moment to refresh your understanding of Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs.
• Maslow's pyramid consists of five needs. Which of those do you think it most important to the overall well-being of an individual? What is the difference between a need and a want? Share an example. Finally, how would you explain self-actualization? Do you think every individual is able to reach self-actualization? Why or why not?

Write a 700- to 1,050-word paper analyzing the humanistic approaches to personality. Your paper should cover the following areas:
• Compare person-centered theory with Maslow's hierarchy of needs.
• Use Maslow's hierarchy of needs to discuss the extent to which growth needs influence personality formation.
• Outline the main components of person-centered theory that contribute to personality development.
• Identify which theory you relate to most, and explain why.
Include an introduction and conclusion in your paper.
Prepare a brief (5-10 minute) presentation in which you share the salient points of your paper. Your presentation should demonstrate evidence of prior preparation and include a visual (such as a PowerPoint presentation) to augment your presentation.
Format your assignment according to the following formatting requirements:
1. The answer should be typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides.
2. The response also includes a cover page containing the title of the assignment, the student's name, the course title, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.
