Question 2: Calculate the mass of needles received by the stream from aerial and terrestrial sources for your class (Hint: your aerial and terrestrial traps were a sample which you should use to calculate the total estimated mass of needles moving to the stream over your 100 meter reach). Which input to the stream was greater over the three week period? Was this what you expected? What would be the total (terrestrial and aerial) annual flux of needles to the stream?
