Problem
A 65-year-old woman presents to the office because of dizziness for the past 2 weeks. She complains of episodes where she thought the room was spinning, lasting as long as 20 minutes. She also reports that her right ear feels full during these events. She denies the onset of the dizziness with any specific movement, position, or at any particular time of day. She does feel nauseated and has vomited when she was dizzy. Current medications include metoprolol and ibuprofen. On physical examination, she is afebrile, and the pulse is 65/min, respiratory rate 14/min, and blood pressure 135/85 mmHg. Neurological examination shows no deficits. The Dix-Hallpike maneuver is conducted, and no nystagmus or recreation of dizziness resulted. Tympanic membranes are pearly and mobile bilaterally. Brain MRI shows no lesions. what is the condition patient suffer from?
