As you have been reading your novel, you have undoubtedly began to formulate a direction for your final project. Though you may not have completed the reading yet, please respond to the following. Be specific and clear about the focus of your project.
What character will you be addressing in your project?
What is the basis for your definition of American? Please cite a source that supports this definition.
Please provide a working thesis statement.
List at least three of your main points. Each main point should be accompanied by an appropriate piece of cited support for that point and a clear explanation of why this point is significant to your thesis.
Discuss one lesson (theme, elements, movement and cultural influences) from weeks 5-7 that will be a relevant part of your project.
