• Max Weber argues that one of the largest social changes in human history - the transition from feudalism to capitalism - was driven by the Protestant beliefs.
o Find a quote or section of the text that best captures this argument.
o Include the quote and "translate" it in your own words.
o Then explain how and why you think it best captures Weber's argument.
• The election of Donald Trump represents a big change in the organization of American society, particularly the organization of our political system. Weber would argue that beliefs must be behind this change. What beliefs do you think led to his election? (Please revisit your class notes on culture for a definition of "beliefs.")
