Assignment: Data Mining and Analytics.
Goal: To facilitate students understanding how the model that they developed in Week 4 is then used to extract data and develop knowledge about the business.
Deliverable: Develop a document that is to be submitted to management outlining how analytics are to be used and how the enterprise can put the outcomes into action.
Instructions
We will use the multi-dimensional model developed in Week 4. This model will be used to develop a report that will be delivered to the company's executives. This report is will offer the company decision makers a glimpse into the way that they can fully exploit the data contained within the new data warehouse.
Keep in mind the members of the executive are interested in outcomes, being less interested in technical details of the analytics projects. Your report will need to include high-level information about the analysis, leaving out the details. Ensure that your report is geared to the needs of TU Hotel chain.
Your report should encompass the following ideas, but is not restricted to these ideas alone.
What is Simple Regression versus Multiple Regression? When is each used?
How can this information be used by an enterprise to do predictive analysis?
How would a sample company use this information in a marketing strategy? Give an example that is clearly derived from your developed model.
What would a second iteration of your data model look like. Is the second iteration necessary? Why or why not.
How can social media be utilized to create a more dynamic model?
Format your assignment according to the following formatting requirements:
1. The answer should be typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides.
2. The response also includes a cover page containing the title of the assignment, the student's name, the course title, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.
3. Also include a reference page. The Citations and references should follow APA format. The reference page is not included in the required page length.
